Rebekah Luhrs has been practicing yoga for almost ten years and completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification Training at the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina in 2015. She has been practicing AcroYoga since 2011 and was certified as an instructor through AcroYoga International in 2017.
For her, the practice of yoga goes beyond the physical elements. The Eastern Philosophy that gave birth to Yoga as we know it in the West, provides a pathway that leads us back to our true self. In essence, Yoga is how we walk in the world. Holding space for community and connection are an integral part of Rebekah’s journey in this life and both Partner and AcroYoga facilitate a space for students to growth and connect in deeper ways.
AcroYoga is a dynamic partner practice that blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts. Based on a foundation of trust, communication, and support, the practice of AcroYoga empowers positive growth in individuals, relationships, and communities in the most fundamental ways.
New content is explored each week while reviewing components taught in previous classes and workshops. Space is provided for students to form strong foundational skills by utilizing spotters. AcroYoga as a practice that is available for every body, age, and ability.
