Her practice has helped her find personal strength, stress relief and an inner knowing that “all is well.” Cheri loves to encourage others to let go of what doesn’t serve them and embrace their magnificence. Alignment Yoga – Level 2 with Ron Felix @ Breezeway Yoga Studio

This class is an upper level class so you have already earned your stripes by being in several series of an alignment style (like Iyengar ) yoga at Level 1. This class builds on that beginner’s level, refines it with more advanced poses and introduces you to a theme type practice. A theme could be a class focusing on back bends or forward bends etc. In addition you will be working on an inversion practice as your knowledge and experience as a beginner has taught you what not to do as compared to what you can do.

This class is taught in an 8-week series but drop-ins @ $15/class will be allowed with permission from the teacher.

Progressive Flow with Jamie Kowarick @ Breezeway Yoga Studio

Progressive Flow  •  Friday at 8:00AM

In Progressive Flow, students will find themselves moving through a sequence a total of three times, each flow building off the previous. In the first round, students will move through a slow moving, muscle wakening flow. The second, balance and preparatory postures are offered with the option to move deeper into each pose and try more fluid transitions. The third sequence brings breath centric movement and the peak postures. This practice will help build confidence, strengthen and stretch the mind and body, and is suitable for all levels.


About Jamie:

Jamie took her first yoga class while attending college to fill a mandatory gym credit, searching for a creative and physical outlet like her first passion, dance. In this gym class, Jamie’s initial interest in yoga started.  Once graduated and working, Jamie again longed for a physical and mental outlet to help her express herself, and turned to yoga for another go around. What she found on her yoga mat was so much more than she expected.  Not only did she see results physically, Jamie looked forward to the challenge of finding balance and strength in the mind and body.  In turn, yoga was the perfect addition to her life to help cope with stress and anxiety.  All of these factors, plus a few more, are what inspired Jamie to go to teacher training in 2016, and she feels it was one of the best decisions she has ever made.

Jamie brings her dance background into all of her classes, which is why she loves Power and Vinyasa yoga so much.  With each class, Jamie sequences poses together to move the body on all planes and levels to open all areas of the body.  Jamie believes that yoga is something to be enjoyed and not taken too seriously, and wants to spread her love of yoga to help others achieve their goals.  She believes yoga truly is for everyone and every body, no matter their reason for first stepping on a yoga mat; and she hopes to see you there.

The second, balance and preparatory postures are offered with the option to move deeper into each pose and try more fluid transitions. The third sequence brings breath centric movement and the peak postures. This practice will help build confidence, strengthen and stretch the mind and body, and is suitable for all levels.


About Jamie:

Jamie took her first yoga class while attending college to fill a mandatory gym credit, searching for a creative and physical outlet like her first passion, dance. In this gym class, Jamie’s initial interest in yoga started.  Once graduated and working, Jamie again longed for a physical and mental outlet to help her express herself, and turned to yoga for another go around. What she found on her yoga mat was so much more than she expected.  Not only did she see results physically, Jamie looked forward to the challenge of finding balance and strength in the mind and body.  In turn, yoga was the perfect addition to her life to help cope with stress and anxiety.  All of these factors, plus a few more, are what inspired Jamie to go to teacher training in 2016, and she feels it was one of the best decisions she has ever made.

Jamie brings her dance background into all of her classes, which is why she loves Power and Vinyasa yoga so much.  With each class, Jamie sequences poses together to move the body on all planes and levels to open all areas of the body.  Jamie believes that yoga is something to be enjoyed and not taken too seriously, and wants to spread her love of yoga to help others achieve their goals.  She believes yoga truly is for everyone and every body, no matter their reason for first stepping on a yoga mat; and she hopes to see you there.

Mondays at Noon – Yoga 4 EveryBODY with Cheri

In this class you will be introduced  to the teachings of yoga through physical movement, mediation, breath work and inspiration. This class is perfect for anyone wanting to treat their bodies with the love and respect it desires and deserves. Yoga 4 EveryBODY helps students stretch, learn, grow and be open to greater possibilities. Everyone at any level is welcome and encouraged to attend.

IMG_9143Cheri Pollack has been a student of yoga for almost 15 years. She believes that yoga can help everyBODY age more gracefully with ease, joy and lots of humor. Her practice has helped her find personal strength, stress relief and an inner knowing that “all is well.” Cheri loves to encourage others to let go of what doesn’t serve them and embrace their magnificence. Her classes are designed to compliment any lifestyle and ability level. They are geared to open student’s  to their true potential; physically, spiritually, and creatively. Cheri is a clay and mixed media artist. She teaches ‘Healing through Art Classes” at The Cancer Support Community. Cheri is happily married for over 25 years, mom to three sons who all attend the University of Tennessee and loves living in KnoxVegas! She received her professional yoga teacher training in Asheville at the Asheville Yoga Center in 2014.
