Chair Yoga has all the benefits of a normal yoga class. Building strength balance and flexibility through the work of the breath. But chair yoga is especially designed for seniors and people who have trouble getting up and down off of the ground. No mat needed in this class just your chair and your breath. The chair is great to have by ones side when practicing a balance pose it gives one something to hold on to, till one develops the strength to stand on their own. This class will make one love their down dog, no need to get onto the floor to find that great stretch in that pose.
This class can also be helpful to the office workers and travelers, teaching yoga moves that can make one feel better no matter where you are. Whether you’re stuck in an office at a desk all day or on a long plain ride. Chair Yoga is a great gentle practice that everyone can do.
Hi, my name is Abby and I have been practicing yoga since 2012. At the time I was just looking for a new workout routine and had no idea what I was about to discover. I learned how to use my breath and how to make my breath work for me. The breath is key to unlocking the flexibility one never knew they had, and flexibility is key to unlocking tight musclebound bodies. Now it is time for me to share what I have learned and help others find their way towards comfort and relief.
