Thinking about trying power yoga but not sure what it’s all about? Start here with this ‘Introduction to Power Yoga’ class. Learn the basics of Vinyasa (flow), practice foundational poses, develop strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance. While this is an introduction to Power Yoga, it will be moderately challenging so be prepared to sweat and get your heart rate up while getting a full-body workout.

New class requirements include:

  • Maximum class size of 6 students on first come/first served basis
  • Masks will be required inside the studio but optional once on your mat.
  • Social distancing (minimum of 6 feet) to be maintained before, during, and after class.
  • Props / Mats:  I encourage you to bring your own mat and props (straps, blocks, blankets) from home.  If you use props from the studio please clean them after use.
  • I will not be offering hands on adjustments / assists at this time and until further notice.
  • I will provide sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer before, during, and after class.

Laura began practicing yoga in 2015 as a way to relieve stress and add a new form of physical activity to her routine.  She was hooked immediately and it wasn’t long before she sensed that yoga was going to be a transformative power in her life.  She’s been truly amazed by the many benefits that yoga has provided in her life including a more positive self-image, self-compassion, confidence, physical and emotional strength, and an openness to embrace life.  She felt a calling to share the gift of yoga with others and completed her 200-RYT training in 2018 with Kim Lomonoco at The Glowing Body in Knoxville, TN.  She enjoys practicing and teaching power flow, Yin, and gentle yoga.

Always seeking new ways to make yoga accessible to everyone, she is currently pursuing her Yoga For All certification with Dianne Bondy and Amber Karnes. Her belief is that the physical and mental benefits of yoga are attainable for anyone regardless of physical ability.  She works to meet her students where they are and encourages self-acceptance and compassion.
