Root to rise is designed with the intention of starting, building, and/or maintaining an arm balance practice. Whether the practitioner is wanting to enter bakasana or press from there to a handstand; I am here for you. Arm balances and inversions are my passion. I wish to share my knowledge of internal dynamics and tools for these asana, with any student that is inspired to root and rise.
Yoga found me 4 years ago. I was seeking a way to claim my body back after having my son and I also found a way to claim my mind. I’ve been practicing under two mentors with dynamically different styles (Christina Gerdes /Viniyoga and Philip Clift/Ashtanga). I enjoying weaving their contrasts with the intention of linking breath with movement to find stillness. My fascination with yoga sparks from the magic found there.
My certifications are nasm personal trainer and animal flow level 1 instructor. My daily practices are yogic on and off the mat. I have completed the 21-month Path Program at Renegade Yoga center and I am, currently, enrolled in Philip Clift’s facilitator training. Outside the studios I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and studying different movement styles.
