You are invited to the 3rd Annual Asian Festival

 The Asian Festival’s mission is to showcase Asian Cultural Heritage to communities in TN and neighboring States. Each participating Asian country showcases the best of its rich traditions, crafts, arts, and textiles.

The availability of authentic Asian food is one of the highlights for visitors attending this festival. There are a variety of food demonstrations intended to educate the audience on ingredients, utensils, and methods of preparation in traditional culinary arts. The opportunities to sample delicious authentic delicacies rich in savory flavor are available in the food tent area.

Culture and Art: Skilled artists and performers demonstrate traditional and interactive activities such as Pottery, floral arrangements, bonsai, origami, calligraphy, painting, bead work, tea ceremony, and tourism promotion. Participating countries showcase coordinated.

The Asian Festival organizing committee, led by Kumi Alderman as Chairperson, is comprised of over 50 volunteers, including several community leaders. They represent various Asian ethnic organizations from East Tennessee area. The production of this entire festival is based solely on the efforts of volunteers. We are fortunate and proud to have such a tremendous volunteer participation. This allows production costs.

MindfulnessTN, a mindfulness and meditation-based symposium will be held in Knoxville on April 8th at the Bijou Theatre.

MindfulnessTN-FlyerSome of the nation’s top academic minds will discuss the latest in research of mindfulness and meditation-based therapies with the public and most importantly, real-world applications of these therapies in clinical, corporate, and home settings.

Pairing yoga and other methods with mindfulness and meditation practices will be discussed by many of the presenters.

Do you clench your jaw or grind your teeth? Do you experience headaches and neck pain? This workshop is for you!

Jaw Tension also known as TMJ or TMD (Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction) is a very common and often painful condition that affects a large portion of the population that cause tension and disfunction in the body that often compromise the nervous system and  cause additional problems.

This workshop was inspired through Gina’s CranioSacral practice after working with thousands of patients suffering from TMD.

In this workshop you will learn:

  Relieving pressure point techniques

  Simple asana sequence to release face and jaw muscles

  Self care techniques to encourage the body to relax

  Simple meditation to help release the thinking mind so you can

release tension in the whole body
